Waypoint Project

God’s Love Through Disaster Relief

WHAT IS THE WAYPOINT PROJECT?

Waypoint Project was organized to help alleviate the pain and suffering from both natural and man-made disasters. We believe that no human should go without access to food, clean water, the supplies needed to remain safe, or reliable life-saving information. Our mission is to insure that, even in the midst of a disaster, food, water, supplies, and information will be available for all of those in need.

TOGETHER, WE’RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Hundreds of disasters occur globally each year. From hurricanes making landfall to America’s homeless population going without, the Waypoint Project is working to make a difference. And we need your help.

  • Disaster Relief – On the ground, providing relief

  • Hunger Relief – Ensuring those who hunger do not go hungry

  • Spotless – Providing hygiene to vulnerable populations

  • Kindness – Loving our communities through action.

OUR PRINCIPLES

The mission of Waypoint is to be a team that finds a way to meet a need in a local and meaningful way. Our goal is to have boots on the ground in the midst of daily routine or devastating disaster to help those who need help and to help those who give help.

Waypoint was formed by a group of men who believe that the unconditional love of Jesus Christ for all should be reflected, by us, unconditionally to all, no matter who they are or where they come from. Our belief in this love motivates us to serve others, just as Jesus served others through acts of incredible love. Jesus commanded us very specifically to love our neighbors; we seek to demonstrate this love by sacrificing our time and resources to lift up everyone around us through meaningful acts of love and service.

Waypoint commits to serve any and all who may have a need to the best of our abilities. This need may be as small as a night-shift nurse needing a cup of coffee or as large as feeding a hurricane ravaged community. Our desire is to deploy to where service is needed as rapidly as possible and to offer our love and assistance with no strings attached.

We believe that all people are to be treated with love and respect, no matter their race, nationality, culture, sexuality, political belief, criminal history, or religion. We also believe that the aid we provide should be delivered with no expectation of compensation or reciprocation, as well as provided in a way that does not discriminate based on any discrepancy in belief between the provider of aid and the recipient of relief.

In order for us to provide the help we are called to provide, we need financial support from those who are able to give monetarily and volunteer support from those who are able to serve. Waypoint needs contacts within other disaster response groups to help coordinate our response efforts to cooperatively meet the needs of the people impacted by disastrous events. We also need donations from companies willing to provide supplies to be distributed by  Waypoint volunteers on the ground providing aid.
